British Columbia ECK Light and Sound Service
There is a divine language which links us all. That language is found in the twin aspects, the Light and Sound of God within. This divine connection is present throughout our lives, in dreams and intuition, personal contemplative experiences, the love we share for our families, our pets, and the joy we can experience just from being alive. The Light and Sound of God are always with us, guiding us through spirituality, reincarnation and karma, intuition, and inner peace. We can partake of this presence, this Light and Sound as it leads us to a deeper understanding of the true spiritual experience of life Itself.
The Light and Sound Services of British Columbia are spiritual events offered so that anyone with an open heart can experience the reality of God. These spiritual services are held regularly in British Columbia and across other provinces in Canada.
On the path of ECKANKAR, we learn to cultivate this relationship and appreciate its subtleties. The Light and Sound guide us to a deeper understanding of dreams and out-of-body experiences. God often enters our lives with the subtlety of a cat on silent feet, and we must remain vigilant to recognize it. Gratitude and unconditional love for God are the keys that open the door within, releasing karma, deepening our understanding of reincarnation, and bringing inner peace. They guide us to the place where God awaits us all.
Allow yourself to be inspired, whether through the arts, music, or any creative endeavor. Inspiration is an unconditional expression of the Soul's potential, offering a gateway to a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world of Creation. Whether you find inspiration in the beauty of nature, the brushstrokes of a painting, or the melodies of music, the Divine presence resonates within.
At the heart of inspiration is love—Divine Love that asks for nothing in return but brings only gratitude and selfless devotion. This is the nature of God's love, and it is the love we cultivate within ourselves, giving it back to the universe with every moment of our lives. ECKANKAR is a path of Divine Love, an endless and ever-growing journey.
Open your heart to this creative force, and let the Divine presence guide you on a path of spiritual enlightenment and harmony with the cosmic energies of life.

How God Speaks to Us
Discover inner guidance when you learn to listen to how God speaks to you.
"Spirit will work with each person, with each of you, in a way that is right for you."
—Harold Klemp, Touching the Face of God, p. 33
An ECK Light and Sound Service is a celebration of God’s love for Soul. ECKANKAR teaches that the Holy Spirit expresses Itself as Light and Sound—aspects of God you can experience directly and personally.
You can expect, in some way, to have a new experience of God’s love!
A special part of the service is singing HU, a sacred name for God, which opens the heart to divine love. This is followed by a brief silent contemplation, an opportunity to connect personally with God or Divine Spirit in your own quiet way.
You are welcome to participate or simply come and listen—whatever you are comfortable with.
Get together after the service for refreshments and to chat. Meet others who share your love and curiosity for the spiritual life.
